Nelle Harper Lee was born on April 28, 1926, but unfortunately passed away on February 19, 2016 in Monroeville, Alabama. Harper Lee was a novelist, best known for writing the famous book, To Kill A Mockingbird. She is the youngest of the four children of Amasa Coleman Lee and Frances Finch Lee. Harper Lee attended Huntingdon College on 1944 to 1945. Harper also studied law at University of Alabama 1945 to 1949, and then spent a year at Oxford University. During the 1950s, she moved to New York City after working briefly as an airline reservation clerk, she decided to work excessively on her writing. After moving into a cold-water flat, she started working on the famous novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.

One of the most troublesome and tragic time period known to humans, the 1930s, the reason for that is because of The Great Depression that happened in that time period. The Great Depression was the economic crisis, in which the Stock Market crashed, causing mass unemployment and economic problems. Also the lack of medicine and cash used in that period of humans. There was also a lot of racism that happened and this caused major problems between the races, especially between the black community and the white community.
