The effects the great depression had were Economy and stock market crash which lead to people to becoming poor and homeless. The Dust Bowl which was near the northern plains of america. Daily life which was hard for people during the Great Depression. The great depression in the 1930s caused hard times for people in America.
To begin with, The stock market crashed which hurt the economy. Billions of dollars were lost wiping out thousands of investors (History.com). Unemployment rose to 25 percent and homelessness increased. Stock prices began to decline in September and early October 1929 and on October 18 the fall began. The stock market made people poor and homeless and could not take care of themselves or their kids if they have any.
Next, the Dust Bowl. The dust bowl started in 1930, it lasted a decade. It had a primary impact on the south plains. Northern plains was badly affected, the drought, wind blown dust was no strangers to the north. The Dust bowl had also affected the peoples life during the Great Depression. The Dust Bowl was hard on people in the northern plains.

They kept kitchens gardens, patched worn out clothes and passed on trips to movies privately struggled to ownership to a house or car. People who work middle class, and upper middle class fortunate to keep their jobs carried on with life as close to normal as they could.
